Operations Management
Operations Management taught me to have more effective communication in all aspects of our program. One main way that I have begun effective communication with families is the the questionnaire to all of the parents in my program. Afterwards, I conducted a survey analysis. The information that was revealed from this survey was regarding topics for workshops that I am developing for my project. I was then able to decide what area was most important to them when determining which workshop to implement first.
The parents showed great enthusiasm when being involved in the decision making process. There were many inquiries about when we would begin the workshops. Being able to make a list of systems for the program was important in aiding in the scheduling of services for families. That process allowed me to see the outline of what needs to be done to achieve the best quality and most efficient program. I have learned to schedule the staff and children's programs consistent with principles of child growth and development.
